A well established company based in Wynberg is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper
Duties:
Reconcile bank statements, ledger accounts and credit card statements
Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and issue credit notes
Handle capital repayments and transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Oversee property management financial tasks including Airbnb utility payments, and commissions payable
Coordinate with auditors for timely payments and resolve any discrepancies in accounts
Maintain and balance loans, call accounts, and petty cash
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and end-of-month accounting tasks
Process intercompany transfers and manage foreign currency accounts
Submit and reconcile expense claims
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with regulations
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and cashflows
Oversee the debtors and creditors accounts and resolve queries in a timely manner
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial records by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions of the companies
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role
Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in bookkeeping / accounting
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Experience in handling multiple accounts for various business entities
Computer Literacy:
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
SAP
Xero
Highly proficient in excel
