What is the purpose of the Role?
The bookkeeper will work in the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Manager to address the financial accounting requirements of the Group.
Key Accountabilities and Associated Activities:

• Supplier Invoices: Daily capturing of supplier invoices and preparing weekly payments. Weekly reconciliation of all outstanding supplier invoices.
• Monthly Payments: Processing monthly payments for management fees, bond coupons and interest on assets/liabilities
• Cash Management: Assisting with weekly cash management across all bank accounts and performing daily, weekly, and monthly banking and reconciliations.
• Staff Expenses: Managing staff expense claims via email. Raising all expense claims in the ERP and ensuring they are paid on time.
• Credit Card Management: Managing MyVision, which includes opening, closing, or deleting credit card accounts. Weekly capturing of all credit card transactions.
• General Ledger: Maintaining, enhancing, and reconciling the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) to the General Ledger (GL)
• Intercompany Accounts: Managing intercompany loans and accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR).
• VAT and Budgeting: Completing VAT returns and monitoring the budget against actuals.
• Ad Hoc Support: Providing other ad hoc general support to the Finance team and the wider business.

Qualifications Required:

• BCom with an accounting major, a diploma in accounting, or a certificate in accounting and bookkeeping.

Experience Required:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping.
• Experience in financial services is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Xero would be an advantage.
• Experience working with multiple currencies, including USD, GBP, EUR, ZAR, and INR.

Knowledge, Technical Competency, and Skills:

• Competence in MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Good organisational skills.
• Numeracy, accuracy and diligence.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fast learner.
