Minimum Job Requirements:

• Matric.
• Relevant Post Matric qualification.
• Minimum 3+ years Bondstore experience.
• Shipping industry knowledge.
• Supervisory skills essential.

Key Performance Areas:

• Register receipted bonded cargo.
• Manage detained cargo.
• Supervise & develop Bond/Custom staff.
• Liaise with clients daily regarding workload and planning.
• Ensure adherence to SARS regulations and procedures.
• Weekly client reports for required acquittals.

Competencies (Knowledge and Skills):

• Bond store documentation /administration.
• SARS regulations and procedures.
• Follow system procedures when dealing with bonded / detained cargo
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to priorities and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Good customer service skills.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
• Knowledge of computer skills.
• Communication - ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Associated Tasks:

• Report to the Warehouse Planning Manager:
• Complete Customs bill of entries at the end of the accounting period of excise account
• Submit Customs excise account on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Verify bill of entries for Customs purposes.
• Act as Company Representative during Customs inspection and manage the whole inspection process.
• Ensure documents are signed by Customs Office and filled.
