Job Description
BOILERMAKER
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is looking for an energetic, sharp, dedicated and disciplined Boilermaker to join their team.
The following are the minimum requirements:
Trade tested Boilermaker (Red Seal) qualification as a minimum requirement. N3 or equivalent A minimum of 8 years' experience post qualification. Proof of apprentices from accredited institutions. Eskom/Sasol/Mining experience is an added advantage
Skills and Competencies required
Detail- Oriented Cutting, rolling, bending, and shaping metal plates and sections (using oxy-fuel, plasma arc, guillotines, rollers, press brakes). Proficiency in different welding processes. Ability to read and understand isometric drawings, general arrangement drawings, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and fabrication drawings. Expert use of measuring tools like vernier calipers, micrometers, rulers, squares, and levels. Basic understanding of Occupational Health & Safety Act. Ability to participate in and understand risk assessments before starting a job Thorough understanding of the permit-to-work system for welding, grinding, and cutting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem solving skills Technically sound
