Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join our client's team within the dynamic mining industry. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in metal fabrication, welding, and maintenance to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of mining equipment and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Metal Fabrication: Fabricate, assemble, and install metal structures, components, and equipment using various techniques such as welding, cutting, and shaping.
• Maintenance & Repair: Conduct maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of mining equipment, including crushers, conveyors, and processing plants, ensuring their optimal functioning.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine materials required and precise specifications for fabrication and installation.
• Welding & Joining: Perform welding tasks using different methods (e.g., stick, MIG, TIG) to join metal components and ensure structural integrity.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment for oneself and fellow workers.
• Equipment Inspection: Inspect equipment and structures for defects, wear, and damage, and undertake corrective measures to prevent breakdowns.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any modifications or repairs conducted for reporting and reference purposes.
• Team Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and supervisors to execute tasks efficiently and achieve operational goals.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in boilermaking or metal fabrication is preferred.
• 5 years of experience as a boilermaker or in a similar role within the mining or heavy industry.
• Proficiency in metal fabrication, welding, cutting, and other relevant techniques. Familiarity with various tools, machinery, and welding equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices, with a proven track record of working safely in a mining or industrial environment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Flexibility to work shifts, overtime, and in remote locations as required.
