BlueMatic is the newest division of Blue Robot, launching January 2026. Our mission is to disrupt the Display and Programmatic advertising space by creating interactive, gamified, and high-impact formats that redefine engagement on the open web.
We build ad formats that move people, experiences that grab attention, drive recall, improve favourability, and push users closer to conversion. Our work runs across Google, Criteo, Eskimi, The Trade Desk, and other DSPs, fusing creative technology and data-driven performance.
We're looking for a Junior Developer / Experience Builder who wants to help shape the next wave of interactive advertising.
The Role
You'll build custom, interactive display experiences that break away from banner fatigue and deliver measurable impact.
This is a hands-on development role, you'll turn concept sketches and prototypes into fully functional live experiences across multiple DSP environments. Think physics-based ad games, gesture-activated banners, responsive interactions, and playful mini-experiences that turn passive impressions into active engagement.
What You'll Do
Build, test, and deploy interactive display experiences using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Work with frameworks and libraries suited to rich media and web interaction.
Collaborate with the Product and Creative teams to adapt concepts for the constraints and opportunities of the open web.
Optimise performance for ad-serving platforms and cross-browser/device compatibility.
Integrate creative assets, animation, and logic into ad shells ready for DSP upload and trafficking.
Work with APIs and creative tracking tools to enable interactive data capture and post-campaign measurement.
Participate in R&D sessions to explore new interaction types, ad capabilities, and creative technologies.
Continuously test, debug, and improve builds under real-world network and device conditions.
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in front-end development or creative technology.
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; understanding of responsive design and lightweight animation.
Experience with ad-serving environments or creative build platforms (e.g., Google Studio, Sizmek, Eskimi, or similar) is an advantage.
Interest or experience in gamification, motion design, or user interaction.
Comfort working with APIs, tracking scripts, and third-party integrations.
Eye for detail, you'll obsess over pixel alignment and timing.
Problem-solving mindset and willingness to experiment.
Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical teams (designers, sales, strategy).
