To assist CIB Risk with data related areas of innovation, automation, and optimisation.
Job Responsibilities
Involvement in the execution of the CIB Risk data strategy, to derive maximum value from it
Collaboration with the Models and Risk Innovation teams to find efficiencies and opportunities within the team and the greater CIB Risk
Seek opportunities to improve business processes; data and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and adding value to Nedbank
Take corrective action where risk is identified in any processes; databases or reporting; through analysis and formal communication
Facilitating information gathering sessions with the customer to assist then with the documentation of business requirements (BRD)
Create a proposed solution based on the Business Requirements Definition (BRD) to produce a High-Level Design (HLD).
Engage and agree proposed solution as contained in High Level Design (HLD) Document by iterative engagements with clients.
Conduct regular feedback sessions with developers to ensure alignment with technical specifications.
Produce the technical specification document by identifying and analysing relevant data sources, documenting, and applying business rules.
Explain the design to the developers by facilitating technical sessions.
Produce report/ dashboard specification document by engaging with client and developers.
Ensure quality of output and alignment to requirements by conducting / coordinating unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Deliver final solution by obtaining customer acceptance and sign off.
Build collaborative relationships by assisting clients with resolutions of technical issues.
Build rapid solutions to solve business problems using available technologies
Assist with documentation and conveying of training requirements where new solutions are developed and thereafter maintaining the solutions developed
Preferred Qualification
BSc Computer Science/ data science or BCom Risk Management/Statistics
Preferred Certifications
SAS or SQL or equivalent
Minimum Experience Level
3-5 years in IT, Data or Business analysis role
Technical / Professional Knowledge
Data analysis
Banking knowledge
Governance, Risk and Controls - a Credit Risk background with basic knowledge/understanding about PD (Probability of Default), LGD (Loss Given Default), EAD (Exposure at Default) etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Conducting gap and root cause analysis
Documenting and translation of business requirement to technical specifications
Working with a group to identify alternative solutions to a problem
Experience in SQL/SAS
Power BI or equivalent relevant software and systems knowledge
Risk management process and frameworks
Making data-based recommendations to enhance operational excellence
Experience working with data, knowledge of integrated data bases / ERP systems, e.g. SAP
Understanding how to implement solutions from various data sources
Problem solving to assist with the Design of solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing. Office 365.
