Job Summary We are excited to present a rewarding opportunity with our client, who is currently seeking a skilled BI Analyst Developer to join their team. As a BI Analyst Developer, you will play a pivotal role in extracting meaningful insights from data and transforming them into actionable business intelligence solutions. The candidate would be part of a team who would drive the BI (Business Intelligence) maturity of of the business. The candidate will collaborate with other members of the team to build reports and dashboards and ensure delivery of relevant content to key stakeholders in the organization. Therefore, an in-depth understanding of sourcing data and modelling to deliver the required content would be a key requirement. As the client embarks to the Azure platform and move onto new source systems the candidate needs to be able to adapt the solution accordingly. xc3x82 Qualification Required: Grade 12 Degree or 3-year diploma (not required but would be an advantage) Microsoft certification xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c Designing and Implementing Enterprise-Scale Analytics Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI (not required but would be an advantage) Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (not required but would be an advantage) Experience Required: 3+ years relevant experience with sufficient knowledge to develop solutions using the following technologies: Microsoft SQL Server architecture Ability to read and write T-SQL queries. Power BI development (datasets, models, reports and dashboards) Good understanding of Power BI architecture (configuring On-prem Gateway, Direct Query, Direct Link, scheduled refresh, user access, workspaces, RLS, parameterisation) Azure fundamentals Microsoft Dynamics 365 (not required but would be an advantage) DAX and Power Query User Experience design and best practices Dimensional model design principles Contribute to the logical design of Star Schema Support new and existing BI solutions. Investigate data sources and query the data using relevant BI Technologies (SQL Management Studio, PowerBI). Document the source to Target mapping based on analysis. Documenting Business Intelligence solutions. Data analysis Financial- and Logistics reporting Developing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services SQL Server Analysis Services (not required but would be an advantage Main Responsibilities Job Purpose: Design reports and dashboard according to User Experience (UX) best practice to ensure it provides clear and logical insights which are both visually interesting and functional. In general, the candidate needs to ensure the most vital information stands out and be clean and uncluttered. Deploy and support the solution xc3xa2xe2x82xacxe2x80x9c keeping the reports up to date, fix defects and enhance it. Timely delivery of content is of utmost importance. There is legacy reporting (SSRS SSAS) which needs to be supported and reverse-engineered into a modernized reporting platform.
