The Boys' College invites applications for the above-mentioned position which will be available from 1 January 2026 - 31 December 2026. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills, disposition, and competencies to take on this position.



The requirements for this position are:



A passion for the Performing Arts and in particular, Dramatic Arts



Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Dramatic Arts/ Performing Arts or equivalent and is currently completing or completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)



A passion for teaching and an understanding of the development of adolescent boys



The ability to foster and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders



An ability to be flexible, innovative and embrace change



Complete administration, and provide guidance and supervision to students in the extra-curricular Dramatic Arts programme



Theatre management and technical skills (sound & lighting) will be an advantage



Assisting with preparing students for practical assessments at the end of each term (Grades 8-12)



An understanding that this role will require after hours work in the evening and over weekends



Ability to teach Grade 8 and Grade 9 Dramatic Arts



Willingness to integrate IT into your teaching and learning



A fundamentally future-orientated approach to teaching and learning



An unequivocal commitment to working as part of an accomplished team



An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach



Ability to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion



Proof of registration with SACE supported by a sexual offender's clearance certificate
