About the Opportunity:


Crew Life At Sea is currently recruiting Bartenders on behalf of a leading cruise line partner. As a Bartender, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional bar service to guests while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and style. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and contributing to the smooth daily operation of the ship's bars.

All placements are made directly with the cruise line - Crew Life At Sea does not charge any recruitment or placement fees.

Role Responsibilities:



Report for duty and prepare the bar before opening, including stocking, sanitation, and setup of menus, napkins, straws, stirrers, and garnishes Greet guests warmly by name, providing friendly, professional, and courteous service at all times Take and serve drink orders accurately, ensuring beverages are poured, garnished, and served according to company standards Provide recommendations and suggest alternative brands when necessary to enhance guest satisfaction Maintain full knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar service standards, mixing drinks with precision and consistency Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar area throughout service Uphold USPH (United States Public Health) and safety standards at all times Supervise, train, and support bar servers and bar utilities when required Assist with loading, unloading, and stocking of provisions and supplies Manage beverage costs responsibly and ensure accurate billing for all orders Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, creating a fun and engaging bar atmosphere Attend departmental meetings, training, and safety drills as required Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Bartender or Assistant Bar Manager

Who We're Looking For:



Minimum of three years' beverage-related experience (shipboard experience preferred) Completion of high school, vocational school, or equivalent education Strong salesmanship and guest service skills with a professional, courteous demeanor Ability to supervise, coach, and support junior bar staff Good knowledge of cocktail preparation, bar operations, and beverage cost control Strong communication skills in English (additional languages such as Spanish, French, or German are a plus) Physically fit to stand for long periods, move supplies, and lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Commitment to safety, hygiene, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospitality environment
