CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages while ensuring high standards of customer service. Responsibilities include operating espresso machines and related equipment, taking customer orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

A strong emphasis is placed on delivering excellent customer experiences by greeting guests warmly, answering queries, and building positive relationships in a fast-paced environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Create and serve specialty coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages according to company recipes and standards. Greeting customers, taking orders, offering menu recommendations, and providing information about ingredients and drink customization. Safely and efficiently operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment. Accurately take orders and process payments Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, including counters, machines, and seating areas. Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies such as cups, beans, and syrups, and place orders as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Follow food and beverage safety and hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers. Ad hoc projects as required from time to time.

Requirements

Matric or equivalent qualifications. Previous Barista experience. Ability to work under pressure and according to strict deadlines at a fast pace. Willing to work long hours, weekends and Public Holidays, school holidays.
