Job Description

Our client based in Midrand searching for an engaging, courteous barista who is passionate about beverage preparation and education of junior baristas. To succeed in this role, you should be committed to providing excellent service, constantly learning more techniques and be able to impart knowledge to others within the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess barista experience (minimum 5 years) and coffee knowledge and be able to provide barista training to staff. This role will be ideal for someone who enthusiastically shares their knowledge and passion with others and thrives in helping others learn. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Cleaning and restocking workstation, sanitizing equipment, and utensils.
• Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases or behind the counter.
• Selling coffee and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods.
• Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
• A fantastic teacher who loves coaching others and is patient and adaptive in helping learners of different styles and backgrounds succeed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal barista training.
• Been in a head barista role & have experience in training new baristas.
• You should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
• Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work weekends if required and at trade fairs.
• Well-spoken and fluent in English and Afrikaans.
