Banqueting Waiter
Description
The Banqueting Waiter/ress position requires a charismatic guest orientated salesperson with great attention to detail, to serve food and drinks to guests and prepare the event in accordance with RCH standards
.
Key responsibilities of the Banqueting Waiter will include:
Ensuring all setups and preparations are completed a day ahead of the event in accordance with the function sheet specifications
Ensuring that mise en place is done in accordance with outlet standard
Providing service to guests in accordance with outlet service journey and company service culture
Handling operating equipment in accordance with company standards ensuring minimal breakages
Ensuring that all revenue is accounted for by practicing the "swipe before you serve" principle for all transactions
The ideal candidate for the Banqueting Waiter should:
Have Grade 12 Certificate
Have at least 2 years' experience in a 4/5 banqueting or events environments
Have been exposed to a Point of Sales System (Micros - advantageous)
Have good command of the English Language with solid knowledge of hospitality vocabulary
Be highly presentable
Be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
