Job Summary

A 5* medium sized hotel with conference venue in Sandton Central seeks to employ a Banqueting Sales Exec with an exceptional eye to detail and a passion for the events and wedding industry.

The ideal candidate will need to be currently employed as an events sales executive with the following requirements

Conducting site inspections
/p

li
p
Prompt, courteous responses and follow ups made to all enquiries.
/p
/li
li
p
Securing all inquiries and tentative bookings.
/p
/li
li
p
Ensure all conferences and events are properly planned and quoted for
/p
/li
li
p
Calling on clients in person to increase business volumes for conferences, events and launches
/p
/li
li
p
Creatinf relationships between the hotel sales team and new clients
/p
/li
li
p
Maintaining effective communication between the sales team and the operations team
/p
/li
/ul
p

Job Specification:-

Matric (Grade 12)
/p
/li
li
p
At least 3 years' experience in a similar position in a 4 or 5 star property
/p
/li
li
p
Hospitality Management Diploma, Certificate or relevant qualification would be beneficial
/p
/li
li
p
Ability to work accurately under pressure.
/p
/li
li
p
Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
/p
/li
li
p
Computer Literacy is essential (Micros, OPERA, Word, Excel)
/p
/li
li
p
Own vehicle and drivers licence and a
strong
South African Citizen
/strong
/p
/li
/ul
p
Must have minimum 3 years experience in the position + Hotel School Diploma or similar. Candidates must be well spoken in English and very well presented.
