Bank Facility Manager - JHBThe RoleAs a Bank Facility Manager at our leading renewable energy company, you will play a pivotal role within our dynamicAccounts Team. Your primary responsibility will be the efficient management of bank accounts, includingreconciliations, credit facilities, financial reporting, and acting as the key liaison with banking institutions. Yourmeticulous attention to detail and financial acumen will ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.Key responsibilities include, but not limited toOversee and manage all aspects of the company's various bank accounts, ensuring accuracy andcompliance with financial regulations.Perform daily, monthly, and yearly bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.Collaborate with internal teams to forecast cash flow needs and optimise cash management.Monitor credit facilities, negotiate terms, and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.Prepare and present regular financial reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations.Manage foreign exchange transactions and minimise currency-related risks.Stay updated on financial regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.Act as the main point of contact for banking queries and resolve any banking-related issues promptly.Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and reduce costs.Work closely with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation.Education & ExperienceBCom or similar accreditation with at least 3 to 5 years similar experienceDesirable to have wind farm project delivery experience in a construction environment.Relevant experience in doing business in South Africa and multiple jurisdictions in East AfricaInvolvement in systems design, testing and implementationPolicy/procedure design and implementationPrior experience in project, finance and commercial areasStrong knowledge of banking regulations, financial markets, and financial instruments.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Character & AttributesEnthusiastic commitment to the renewable energy industryAbility to demonstrate high standards of ethical conduct, honesty, and integrityHigh attention to accuracyCost consciousThe capacity and willingness to perform hands-on tasksSelf-motivated with the ability to work both individually and as a part of a small, skilled, and highly focused team,with a xe2x80x9ccan-doxe2x80x9d attitude and willingness to take ownership of delivering on their goals and responsibilitiesProactive approach to problem-solving and comfortable to make recommendations around resolving challengesStrong commercial acumen and an ability to think and act strategically to maximize opportunities for the businessFlexible working style, able to work at a variety of different levels both inside and outside the organisation andwith members of the team being in different locationsTeam playerComfortable, available and willing to travel and do business within Africa at timesHigh attention to detail including adherence to company proceduresResourceful, well organised and effective at accomplishing objectivesAbility to learn quickly and meet deadlinesAbility to problem-solve
