The Bambanani Early Childhood Development (ECD) Outreach Trainer will play a crucial role in supporting the professional development of educators and staff in the ECD centres while ensuring the quality and effectiveness of ECD projects. This role involves conducting class visits and workshops to provide hands-on training and guidance to educators, as well as coordinating and conducting assessments to evaluate the progress and impact of ECD projects.

Responsibilities

Centre Visits and Training:



Conduct regular classroom support visits to ECD centres to provide support to teachers and Principals. Conduct training sessions with teachers.

Assessments and Workshops:



Ensure centres complete all assessments, screening tools, teacher progression tests and tasks. Organise and facilitate centre based workshops to address identified curriculum gaps in teacher progression and learner assessments reports. Assist centres with red flagged learners from screening tool reports.

Professional Development:



Attend and contribute to upskilling sessions to stay updated on latest trends and best practices in early childhood education. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Reporting:



Submit weekly/daily reports detailing activities conducted, observations made, and recommendations for improvement. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of weekly report submissions.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:



Matric (Grade 12). ECD NQF Level 4, 5, Grade R Diploma or B.ed Degree. 2+ years' experience of working as a Trainer? Training Facilitator or other relevant position.

Required Skills:



Good written and verbal communication. Ability to work under pressure. Multi task. Prioritize workload. Meet deadlines. Good attention to detail. Ability to work independently. Accountability. Fluent in at least two languages.

Behavioural Competencies:



Passion for community work and love for children. Time Management. Relationship Building. Professional Conduct. Public Speaking. Presentation skill. Ability to function in challenging multi-faceted NGO environment.
