- Bakery Specialist
Location: East Rand

Key Performance Areas:

Relationship Development:

Cultivate strong, productive relationships with East Rand's management, staff, and customers to enhance the bakery's position as a key contributor to store success.

Bakery Operations Leadership:

Offer expert advice on every aspect of bakery management, including layout, product display, promotions, supply chain, production planning, staffing, and best practices for profitability.

Training & Development:

Assess and deliver in-house training to bakery staff, ensuring they are equipped with top-tier skills and techniques.

Compliance & Safety:

Conduct hygiene and safety inspections while ensuring adherence to current legislation around food safety, labelling, and consumer protection.

Product Innovation:

Lead product development initiatives by introducing new lines and concepts that keep the East Rand Bakery at the forefront of market trends.

Problem-Solving:

Provide actionable strategies and troubleshooting solutions to address operational challenges and improve overall performance.

Financial Acumen:

Develop initiatives that improve profitability and value-added services while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid driver's license. Matric certificate. Bakery-related qualification. At least 5 years of bakery experience, preferably in a managerial role. Expertise in product sourcing, equipment planning, and workflow optimization. Strong understanding of bakery trends and evolving market conditions. Excellent technical, training, and coaching skills. Proven business acumen with a focus on profitability and operational efficiency.
