Our client is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join the team at a brand-new casual dining restaurant in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity for a baker who loves working with fresh ingredients and creative recipes.
Description
As the in-house Baker, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, including breads and bases, that form a core part of the restaurant's offering. You'll work closely with the kitchen team to meet daily production needs and ensure consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake breads, pizza bases, and other baked goods
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Work according to daily production schedules
- Manage oven timing and baking temperatures for consistency
- Monitor stock levels and report needs
Start Date: ASAP
Opening Date of Restaurant: 1 September
Working Hours:
- Sunday to Thursday: 9am-3pm or 3pm-9pm
- Friday & Saturday: 9am-4pm or 3pm-10pm
- Proven experience as a Baker in a professional kitchen or bakery
- Solid understanding of doughs, fermentation, and baking methods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to work early or split shifts as required
- Available immediately and based in Cape Town
