Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Back of House Restaurant Cleaner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, storage areas, and other back of house areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for our staff and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Clean and sanitize storage areas
- Clean and organize walk-in coolers and freezers
- Follow cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Adhere to health and safety regulations
- Proven experience as a cleaner or janitor in a commercial kitchen environment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service establishment
