Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with 6+ years of hands-on development experience, strong proficiency in building RESTful APIs using the Quarkus framework, and solid knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.
The ideal candidate has experience with containerization using Docker, CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and unit testing with JUnit, with the ability to deliver quality backend solutions in an Agile/DevOps environment.
Develop and maintain enterprise-scale backend applications using Java, Quarkus, and cloud-native technologies, delivering innovative solutions for the Homologation (Type Approval) platform that ensures product compliance across the entire lifecycle!

Minimum mandatory qualifications:

• Relevant IT Degree

Minimum mandatory experience:

• 3+ years in a Mid to Senior role
• 6+ years total experience required
• Backend development with Java
• Experience with Quarkus Framework
• API design and development
• SQL language using PostgreSQL
• Unit testing with frameworks like JUnit
• Docker container knowledge
• Git version control (GitHub Enterprise)
• CI/CD with build and deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Experience using Maven as build tool

Advantageous experience:

• Having worked with Cloud technologies on AWS or Azure
• Angular framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar
• Good understanding of frameworks and libraries like JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• Familiar with UX and using Figma

Essential Skills Requirements
Backend Development:

• Java programming
• Quarkus Framework experience
• API design and development

Database:

• SQL language using PostgreSQL

Testing:

• Unit test frameworks like JUnit

DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Docker: Knowledge of how to build and use container images

Role Requirements

• Our client is looking for a Backend Developer to join the team to deliver a streamlined user experience, with opportunities to work on the Front End code base as well as the Full Stack.
• Conduct with the feature team members, system analysis, design, development, and testing for their assigned technical products or applications within the context of an agile/DevOps delivery model.
• Maintain and develop, deploy and operate backend and frontend cross platform applications based on Java and
• Angular Frameworks.
• Implement robust automated test cases to ensure technical solutions meet expected outcomes and business objectives
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation
• Support operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge.
• Resolve escalated support topics as part of tier-3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical applications.
