Role Purpose

This role is positioned within the cloud business office of the MMH Cloud Centre of Excellence, working together with business unit architects and IT leadership across the group with a focus across the domains of technology, data, business, application of architecture in the cloud. As a custodian of cloud for the MMH group you will be working at the forefront of driving, modernizing, and maturing the adoption of the cloud for MMH. The Solution Architect for Cloud COE is responsible for working closely with our IT Managed Services Partners and our business stakeholders to Technically Design, Implement and Support our portfolio of Cloud Services, with key focus given to AWS and Azure, AWS & Azure DEVOPS, Container Technology and cloud native services, part of the technology practice, youxe2x80x99ll assess, shape, and deliver cloud solutions that will help our development studios launch products faster in the market, but adhering to the highest quality standards and information security guidelines. Consulting, leading, developing, and automating business solutions will be some of responsibilities of this role and requires a candidate with a solid history of Cloud engineering, cloud migrations, platform, and application architecture.
Requirements

• Extensive technical experience in distributed systems and deploying of large complex applications in the Azure Cloud.

• Minimum of 2 yearsxe2x80x99 Azure experience and 5 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant enterprise IT experience

• Azure Certification and training

• Sound knowledge of immutable infrastructure and infrastructure as code concepts

• Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing technical professionals.

• Have a solid understanding and practical experience of automation and DevOps practices such as CI/CD and IaC.

• Ansible (preferred)

• Terraform (preferred)

• Understanding of Software Development (preferred)

• Azure expertise (essential)

• AWS working knowledge (essential)

• Scripting languages xe2x80x93 Json, PowerShell, and python (essential)

• DevOps toolsets xe2x80x93 Jenkins, arm templates (essential)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, operations engineers, architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into solution architectures & automated solutions.

• Occasionally facilitate and sometimes lead the weekly Cloud Chapter sessions.

• Create and implement reusable automation for cloud platforms to be used by other teams designed to increase productivity.

• Collaborate with colleagues to support and improve security, governance, architecture, systems, processes, standards, and tools.

• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud.
