Automation Engineer
Job Description
The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and testing automated equipment and processes to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include programming, debugging, and modifying PLCs, RAPIDs, Prepmasters, and other control systems. This role will also involve HMI application development and testing, onsite installation and commissioning of new systems, troubleshooting existing installations remotely or in the field, creating software and operating manuals, and providing training for users.
You must have the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software, as well as experience in configuration, programming, and commissioning of PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred), variable speed drives, barcode scanners, and safety devices. Preferred experience in robotics (ABB, Mitsubishi, and Epson) and SCADAs (Siemens WINCC preferred) is also desired.
