If so, we have an exciting opportunity that you won't want to miss. Our client, a leader in the Automation industry, is actively seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join their team in Gauteng, South Africa.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, B-Tech, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in SQL and database programming, enabling you to create and manage robust automation systems.
• Proficiency in C programming (a desirable skill).
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems such as Siemens, Rockwell, and Schneider.
• Familiarity with SCADA platforms like WinCC, Wonderware (Intouch), and Ignition.
• Ideally, 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering (candidates with less experience will also be considered).
• Possession of a valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
• Flexibility and willingness to work outside of Gauteng for project-related travel.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to collaborate within diverse teams.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
As an Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that drive operational efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Crafting tailored automation solutions that align with project requirements.
• Utilizing your SQL prowess to build and maintain robust databases for automation processes.
• Leveraging your C programming skills to optimize automation applications (C experience is a plus).
• Proficiently working with PLC systems, including Siemens, Rockwell, and Schneider.
• Taking charge of SCADA system design, development, and troubleshooting, using platforms like WinCC, Wonderware (Intouch), and Ignition.
• Participating in all stages of project development, from ideation to commissioning.
• Providing valuable technical support and troubleshooting during and after project implementation.
