Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain auto-electrical systems in light vehicles, passenger cars, and potentially specialized equipment. Interpret wiring diagrams and perform electrical troubleshooting. Handle installation and maintenance of vehicle lighting, charging systems, starters, alternators, air-conditioning, and ancillary control systems. Document all work accurately--job cards, maintenance logs, and reports. Collaborate closely with workshop and parts teams to source needed components efficiently.
Requirements
Auto Electrician Trade Certificate (Red Seal or equivalent recognized qualification preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (light vehicles, mining, or heavy equipment as a plus). Valid driver's license. Own a basic toolkit (multi-meter, test lights, spanners, ratchets, etc.). Strong diagnostic skills with a safety-first mindset. Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
