Job Description

The family uses two properties (Copperleaf Estate and Waterfall). We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, organised, and passionate individual to join our household as an Au Pair / Personal Assistant. The ideal candidate must be active, energetic (with no trace of laziness), and willing to go the extra mile. We are a very busy and dynamic family, and the children can be challenging at times, so we need someone who is mentally and emotionally resilient and genuinely loves working with children. You may be required to work on weekends (this will be communicated as and when needed). You must be a strong communicator -- preferably an over-communicator, a natural team player, and someone who can think quickly on their feet. The role requires a high level of adaptability, as plans and schedules often change with little notice. Being able to understand and manage different personalities, remain calm under pressure, and handle stressful or high-energy situations is essential.

Requirements:



Own car (Drivers license + 5 years driving experience) Teachers experience is required Must be responsible, trustworthy, able to work independently and think on their feet Good organisational and administrative skills Available to travel with the family Strong organisational and time-management skills. Experience working with children and managing multiple schedules. Excellent communication skills. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic schedule. A patient, nurturing, and professional demeanor.

Aupair Duties:



Supervising and playing with the children. Helping with homework or school projects. Help prepare for tests and exams. Preparing meals/snacks for the children. Transporting children to and from school, playdates, or activities. Keeping a log of children's daily activities. Creating/planning individual daily timetables for the kids Maintaining a safe environment (always be around the kids) Make sure school bags are prepared for the next day.

Personal Assistant Duties:



Managing schedules, appointments, and calendars. Booking travel arrangements (flights, hotels, transport). Handling phone calls, emails, and correspondence. Preparing reports, documents, or presentations. Managing to-do lists and reminders. Running errands (e.g., shopping, picking up dry cleaning). Making reservations (restaurants, events, services). Organising household staff or maintenance appointments. Assisting with event planning and hosting. Handling personal finances, bills, or budgeting. Acting as a gatekeeper to reduce distractions. Maintaining confidentiality of private information.

Pay: R10000,00 - R14000,00 per month
