A medium sized Auditing Firm based in Durban is looking to fill the following vacancies:

AUDIT SUPERVISORS



SAICA articles signed off

Bachelors/Honours Degree in Finance

Experience leading and supervising audit teams

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail

Performing audit work

First review of audit files

Prepare review notes for Audit Clerks

Audit planning, client communication and finalisation

Risk assessments

Draft financial statements

Perform tax computations

Assign work to Audit Clerks

Accounting for clients from source documents

Auditing of accounting records

Develop audit procedures and working papers

Posting and evaluation of journals

Previous experience is advantageous

SAICA TRAINEES



Trainee should be studying towards CTA or completed CTA.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Computer literate including Outlook, Word and Excel

Trustworthy and reliable with a high level of integrity;

Diligent, responsible and hard-working;

Attention to detail with an eagerness to learn

Must have the ability to work well in a team environment

Previous experience is advantageous and preference will be given to Trainee's with CTA.

TAX PROFESSIONAL



The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of company and individual taxes, as well as excellent administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

Management of the SARS eFiling platform. Tax-related administration and enquiry handling. Tax return preparation and submission. Provisional tax calculations and submissions. PAYE reconciliations and submissions. Submission of bi-annual Emp 501 reconciliations using SARS e@syFile VAT 201 submissions and drafting of VAT reconciliations. Application for Tax Clearances. SARS audit and verification management. Dispute resolution with SARS. Dealing with SARS Debt Collectors/Auditors/Correspondence. Deferral and compromise applications. Income Tax/VAT/PAYE/Customs registrations. Interpreting financial statements. Drafting asset and liability/income and expense schedules.
Requirements

Experience in a similar role. Prior experience with Pastel and Caseware is beneficial. Strong accounting abilities, including drafting to Trial Balance.
Remuneration is commensurate with experience.
