Our client has an opportunity available for an Audit and Risk Committee Member based in Gauteng.

Requirements:

Sound knowledge and experience in accounting.
A proven record of service and membership with any one of the following Committees:

Audit Committee and/or
Any Governance Body is a prerequisite.
Sound knowledge of the private sector environment.
Knowledge of governance and risk management principles and control processes.
Knowledge of the bargaining administration industry.
Postgraduate qualification in the field of Accounting and Information Technology (IT).
Possession of a CA (SA), CISA qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

Financial and performance reporting,
Risk management, fraud prevention.
Drive ethical behaviour.
Assurance activities, including internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with policies and legal obligations.
Monitor, review, endorse, and advise the company on matters set out in its charter.
