A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their 2 children

Child's Age:

8 year old (Twins) Girl - Struggles with anxiety and OCD (Works too hard) and Boy. 10 year old (Girl) - learning disability - dyslexia and dysgraphia. she has concessions at school and take remedial classes

Child's Neurodivergence Snapshot:

Dyslexia & Dysgraphia require multisensory learning (Visual aids, technology and creativity help bring life into learning), needs time to process information, struggles reading, struggles with change of routine, difficulty with organising themselves, struggle with

handwriting

,

spelling

, grammar, and sentence construction, struggles recalling what words look like, struggles to organize her thoughts into writing.

Support Style:

Providing a comfortable, supportive, and nonjudgmental and inclusive atmosphere, need to repeat, reward effort not marks, consistent to win over trust, routine is key, she has a great sense of right and wrong and expect you to live this as well, She loves arts&culture, outside, swimming, hockey, she does not like that the twins know her shortcomings and likes to be independent. She has a supernatural IQ , very good communicator and vocabulary in both Afrikaans and English, she is very kind and emotional intelligent and picks up on body language and social queues very fast. She loves fashion and music. When going through a hard time she needs love and space and encouragement. She likes to eat healthy. She loves her family.

Duties:

Collect from school, Take to extra-murals, Assist with and supervise homework, Engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, Prepare meals for your children

Special Requirements:

Driver's license and roadworthy safe car; mature confident lady; preferably her own kids all grown up or no kids of her own; experience working with confident busy vibrant kids and managing sibling conflicts; English speaking (bonus if understand Afrikaans); educational background in grade 3 to 7; bonus if love sports and able to coach a bit or just play outside with them; physically fit; high emotional intelligence; Ability to adapt learning approach to child's needs; good communicator, Christian principles; consistent; dependable; able to manage their money and private life separate from our family; family-person; loving and positive outlook on life. Do not smoke and have sober

Start Date and contract term:

12 January - permanent or until kids are self-sufficient

Salary:

R8000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)



All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
