A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their daughter aged 6 years old

Duties:

ensure getting smoothly to and from school, appointments, extra-curriculars, play dates, good care when sick, managing medicine, efficient communication, keeping us updated, aligning educational activities to school focus, engaging in fun activities and outings, packing for school and holiday, evening activities, ensuring school bag is ready for the next day, etc.

The second focus is food planning and preparation for our child, and at times for the family. Ensuring that all the child's belongings are kept organised and engaging. The family have a dog and will need the au pair to keep an eye when at our home, and may ask for assistance in feeding etc. Candidate needs to have emotional maturity, bringing calm, care and consistency to the household, being able to plan, getting on with different kinds of people, taking initiative and making suggestions, working constructively alongside other staff members as well as family members, creating collaborative relationships, and balancing care with professionalism.

Requirements:

Highly flexible time availability. Up-to-date and current first aid. Strong educational background, preferably foundation phase and preferably Montessori. Current drivers license and serviced car, confident driving at night for later shifts. Strong swimmer. Good cooking and baking skills. First language English, additional languages will be of benefit. Enjoy pets

Start date:

June 2025 start - permanent contract

Salary:

R14 000 per month (gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
