Working hours:

August - December 2025:

Monday - Friday 13:30 - 19:00 and Saturday 07:30 - 16:00

From January 2026 onward:

Monday - Friday 07:30 - 18:30 and Saturday 07:30 - 16:00

School holiday hours:

Same as above / Slightly Flexible (If candidate has full day availability during school holidays for 2025, they will be compensated additionally for any extra hours worked)


A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their 2 children

Duties:

No collections from school for now, however this may be needed in the future (if so, the hours may shift to 12:00 daily) Assist with and supervise homework, run general family errands, grocery shopping on your behalf, engaging in intellectually stimulating play & activities with child, bathing the children, prepare meals for the children

Special Requirements:

We are looking for a female candidate who is fluent in both English and Afrikaans, with a soft-natured and loving disposition, yet able to discipline when needed. She should uphold good morals and values, be physically fit and healthy, well-spoken, intellectual, and able to engage in stimulating conversations with children. It's important that she listens attentively to avoid repetitive instructions, limits personal phone use, maintains cleanliness and tidiness, respects professional boundaries by not oversharing personal matters or requesting personal favours or financial assistance, and is consistently punctual.

Salary:

August - December 2025:

R14 000 - R15 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)

January 2026 onward:

R22 000pm (Gross, before deductions) + SARS rates per km (R4.76)



All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.

Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.

Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.

Must have a clear criminal record

Must have a passion for children

Must have Matric

Must have a South African ID document.
