Job Summary
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Attorney / Conveyancer to join our dynamic legal practice in George. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling all aspects of property transfers and conveyancing matters, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full conveyancing process from instruction to registration
• Draft, review, and finalise transfer and bond documentation
• Liaise with clients, banks, estate agents, and the Deeds Office
• Ensure all transactions comply with relevant legislation and timelines
• Conduct property-related legal research and provide expert advice
• Maintain accurate records and update clients regularly on progress
• Resolve any conveyancing-related issues efficiently

Minimum Requirements:

• Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa
• Minimum 5 years' experience in conveyancing (transfers, bonds, cancellations)
• Strong knowledge of the Deeds Office procedures and relevant legislation
• Excellent drafting and communication skills in English (Afrikaans advantageous)
• Proficiency in conveyancing software (e.g., LexisConvey, GhostConvey)
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strong client relationship management skills
