To provide data-driven insights that support commercial decision-making, improve business performance, and drive strategic growth. The Commercial Data Analyst will analyse sales, customer, pricing, and market data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, clean, and analyse commercial data from various sources (CRM, ERP, financial systems, etc.).
Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as revenue growth, customer acquisition, churn, and profitability.
Support pricing strategy through elasticity analysis and competitive benchmarking.
Conduct market and customer segmentation analysis to inform sales and marketing strategies.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Forecast sales and revenue trends using statistical models and predictive analytics.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data reporting.
Present findings to senior leadership with clear visualizations and strategic recommendations.
Support sales processes and the commercial function
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in data science, Statistics, Economics or Business Analytics, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting.
Experience
3+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably in a commercial or business environment.
3+ years in research and development, market analysis experience will be advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency in data tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R.
Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Oracle).
Strong understanding of business and financial metrics.
Ability to present complex data in a clear, visual, and strategic manner.
Working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Identifying inefficiencies and proposing data-driven solutions.
Ensuring accuracy in data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
