Job description

This vacancy is available in the Department of Civil Engineering Technology, a department with a friendly environment and very supporting colleagues with a strong team spirit. The position of Associate Professor requires someone with vast experience in teaching, research and publication in the areas of transportation or water engineering. This appointment is aimed at supporting departmental research groups related to transportation or water engineering.

The Department is seeking a candidate who is a proven expert in their field, but also play an important role in teaching, research & publication, and academic self-administration. This candidate must have the ability to work to tight deadlines and juggle multiple responsibilities. He/she will need to have excellent management knowledge, networking skills, and the ability to build strong professional relationships with both students and colleagues. The successful candidate will also participate in academic administration, supervise the research of undergraduate and postgraduate students and develop a productive research programme within their research group. As a senior staff member, he or she will also be expected to take part in the strategic planning and decision-making of the department.
