About the role:
You pursue and demonstrate a sound and deepening knowledge of DevOps fundamentals, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, quality, and security. With the guidance of more experienced Engineers, you deploy infrastructure into multiple environments, using automation where applicable. You are starting to actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of infrastructure, pipelines and other DevOps capabilities. You aggressively develop your knowledge of available pipelining, automation, and other DevOps technology, such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
This role is hybrid in Johannesburg (2 days a week).
Your contribution will be:
You are proficient in fixing medium complexity issues independently. You develop appropriate automated tests to ensure your fixes succeed and are durable.
You demonstrate a sound understanding of DevOps fundamentals and can guide junior engineers as needed.
You balance your project time by learning new technical skills and techniques that will enhance your work productivity. You seek opportunities to effectively employ your new skills and techniques.
You are knowledgeable in the Nintex scripting toolset, including PowerShell, Python, pipeline YAML, and others.
You implement appropriate telemetry to inspect and meaningfully report relevant DevOps metrics.
You solve well-defined tasks leveraging existing DevOps patterns and examples.
You deploy services into environments (including production) following Nintex's deployment guidelines and automated pipelines.
You contribute to projects which expand your knowledge of all mainstream DevOps functions.
You write correct configuration and code (e.g., YAML pipelines, etc.) following Nintex guidelines and 'accepted' best practices.
To be successful

2+ years experience' in Platform Engineering/DevOps
Strong scripting experience - Shell/Powershell/Bash
Cloud experience - AWS/Azure/GCP
Experience with Kubernetes is essential - AKS/EKS/bare metal Kubernetes
Iac - Terraform
