JOB SUMMARY
This role is supporting the sales function to ensure Bill of Materials across multiple vendors are created and shared correctly.
A typical engagement ranges from checking information is gathered correctly, before creating Bill of Materials based on the customers requirement and share it with the relevant people within CDW. There may also be the requirement to have a BoM peer reviewed or highlighted as a cross-sell opportunity and moved the opportunity to another team to manage
All opportunities are managed internally through a CRM and keeping this up to date and accurate is an essential part of the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure technologies understanding -An understanding of one or more of the following technology areas - Hybrid Platforms (servers, storage, virtualisation, backup, networking and cloud), Modern Workspace and Security. Responsible for working with CDW Sales teams and customers to qualify opportunities, understand requirements and define appropriate solutions.
Commercial acumen - The role requires that you understand the commercial impact of the proposed solutions and assist CDW's sales teams in choosing the correct solution to meet budget and expectations.
Sales enablement - Assist CDW Salespeople with technical guidance on a variety of products and solutions across a range of customer sizes and types and evangelise the team's capabilities.
Internal collaboration - maximise and leverage CDW's investment in Solutions Architects, Services Business Development Managers and professional services resources.
Accreditation - Attain and maintain relevant accreditation(s) in key areas.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in either a channel-presales or a hands-on technical consulting/support role
Ability to understand what is required at all stages of the sales cycle; from understanding the customer's decision-making process whilst managing vendor requirements for sales closure.
Knowledge and ideally relevant accreditations are required in any of the core technology areas outlined above.
Any of the below qualification would be beneficial:
Server Platforms - Dell EMC, HPE or Cisco required.
Enterprise Storage Platforms - Dell EMC, HPE or Cisco required.
Enterprise Networking - Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper
