The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Associate Director

to join a dynamic real estate accounting team. This is a key leadership position where you'll provide strategic direction, oversee complex accounting matters, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Advise and support accounting teams on technical matters under

IFRS

and other

GAAP

standards. Oversee the preparation and review of complex financial statements and manage relationships with auditors. Provide expert guidance on the accounting and tax implications of corporate activities. Ensure all accounting practices meet professional, ethical, and regulatory standards. Support senior leadership and board committees on strategic initiatives and projects. Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax legislation, and industry trends. Collaborate with tax advisers to ensure timely and accurate compliance. Handle VAT/CIS compliance matters and assist with responses to regulatory queries. Identify training needs and support the continuous development of the accounting team.

Requirements

Minimum

10 years' experience

in accounting, ideally within the

real estate sector

. Recognised professional qualification (

CA(SA), Professional Accountant (SA), CIMA/CGMA or ACCA

). Strong technical expertise in

IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 102 1A

, and other recognised standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at senior levels. Experience with

Yardi

software is a plus. A proactive leader who values collaboration, continuous learning, and process improvement.

SALARY IS MARKET RELATED AND COMMENSURATE BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
