Job Description

Duties include

• Assist in managing daily workshop operations to ensure productivity, quality, and turnaround targets are met
• Support leadership and motivation of technicians, apprentices, service advisors, and support staff
• Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired to OEM standards and "fixed first time" principles
• Drive customer satisfaction and assist with managing customer queries and escalations
• Monitor workflow, labour utilisation, and efficiency to achieve labour sales and profit targets
• Assist with warranty administration, ensuring claims are processed accurately and timeously
• Support inventory management, stock control, and parts coordination with relevant departments
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards within the workshop
• Maintain accurate administrative records and workshop reporting
• Work closely with Parts, Service, Sales, and Support teams to ensure seamless operations

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 with a recognised motor trade test certificate (Red Seal)
• Tertiary qualification in management, operations, finance, sales, or similar will be advantageous
• Minimum 8 years experience within a dealership service workshop environment
• Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Assistant Workshop Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Service Advisor
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair processes
• Proven ability to manage and lead technical and frontline teams
• Customer-focused with the ability to manage expectations and resolve issues professionally
• Valid drivers licence (vehicle testing and movement required)
• Strong communication skills with a good command of English and at least one local language
• Computer literate with experience on dealer management or workshop systems
• Medically fit for a hands-on role where physical involvement may be required
• Clear criminal record (verification checks apply)
• South African citizen
• Preference may be given to candidates based in or near the East Rand
