Assist in managing daily workshop operations to ensure productivity, quality, and turnaround targets are met
Support leadership and motivation of technicians, apprentices, service advisors, and support staff
Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired to OEM standards and "fixed first time" principles
Drive customer satisfaction and assist with managing customer queries and escalations
Monitor workflow, labour utilisation, and efficiency to achieve labour sales and profit targets
Assist with warranty administration, ensuring claims are processed accurately and timeously
Support inventory management, stock control, and parts coordination with relevant departments
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards within the workshop
Maintain accurate administrative records and workshop reporting
Work closely with Parts, Service, Sales, and Support teams to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
Matric / Grade 12 with a recognised motor trade test certificate (Red Seal)
Tertiary qualification in management, operations, finance, sales, or similar will be advantageous
Minimum 8 years' experience within a dealership service workshop environment
Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Assistant Workshop Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Service Advisor
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair processes
Proven ability to manage and lead technical and frontline teams
Customer-focused with the ability to manage expectations and resolve issues professionally
Valid driver's licence (vehicle testing and movement required)
Strong communication skills with a good command of English and at least one local language
Computer literate with experience on dealer management or workshop systems
Medically fit for a hands-on role where physical involvement may be required
Clear criminal record (verification checks apply)
South African citizen
Preference may be given to candidates based in or near the East Rand
