JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and love for Asian ingredients and products Experience and knowledge of the Asian restaurant industry (sushi/chinese/korean restaurant) Efficiently execute all operational activities at the POS (point of sale) in a friendly and timely manner. Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning merchandise and collecting payment for goods sold. To always ensure the safe handling of cash. Managing daily cash up and reconciliation in variances. To proactively promote new stock, special offers and promotions by upselling or cross selling to increase daily turnover To deliver superior customer service in a friendly, professional manner to both clients and the team Answering and handling daily emails and phone calls from clients Must be able to follow instructions and procedures Must maintain updated knowledge on all product Stock management and merchandising knowledge Ensure shop is always neat and tidy Must support and drive the brand's core values
SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Able to work under pressure Excellent numeracy skills Computer literate - basic excel, word and email proficiency High integrity Team player Proficient in English Basic understand of sales principles and customer service practices Knowledge of Asian ingredients and products Experience and knowledge of the Asian restaurant industry (sushi/chinese/korean restaurant)
ESSENTIAL

Matric certificate Minimum 5 + years' experience in a customer facing role within a retail grocery store operations environment Minimum 5 + years' experience in a management role and knowledge of stock mangement Proficient in English Computer literate Knowledge and love for Asian ingredients and products Reliable Transport
