A prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch seeks a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Assistant Sommelier to enhance our exceptional dining experience. This role offers the opportunity to work with an award-winning wine collection, assist guests with expert pairings, and support the Head Sommelier in curating an unforgettable wine journey.
Candidate Requirements:
- Grade 12 and certificate from Cape Wine Academy or WSET level 1
- Preferably 1-2 years of wine tutor experience
- In-depth knowledge of wines - grape varieties and regions, harvest times, climates, soils and wine-making process and being able to communicate and explain this to guests
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Must reside in Stellenbosch or close surrounding areas
