Octotel is an established and rapidly expanding Open Access Service Provider, specializing in Open Access & GPON connectivity. We are Cape Town's largest Open Access Network focused on both Fibre To The Home (FTTH) and Business (FTTB). Our fibre network has passed over 350 000 homes and businesses in Cape Town. We offer a choice of services from over 65 of the country's leading Internet Service Providers.

Job Duties:

Prepping and cleaning the site. Install the network infrastructure and equipment as per site plan. Responsible for the electrical and hand tool inventory to be used. Delivering and distributing supplies (expect some heavy lifting). Assisting workers with Equipment. Assembling and disassembling equipment. Learning new skills from experienced Technicians. Monitor and maintain stock. And any other reasonable task.

Requirements:

Matric Certificate or equivalent Tertiary level IT or Telecommunications qualification is preferred 1 years' experience performing fibre splicing and/or installations. A CFOT certificate is advantageous Valid code 8 driver's license Experience using power-tools.
