About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager - Maintenance & Operations to play a pivotal role in overseeing the maintenance and operational needs of a prestigious building based in London. This role is key in ensuring maintenance issues are handled efficiently, supporting the overall smooth running of the property, and working closely with our Senior Managers.
This position offers a dynamic mix of responsibilities, from logging maintenance requests to ensuring proactive upkeep of the building and assisting with the broader operations of property management. You will be part of a strong, experienced team dedicated to maintaining our biggest property, ensuring smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Log, track, and assign maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution.
Instruct and manage work orders, coordinating with contractors to maintain quality standards.
Oversee proactive and routine maintenance to prevent property issues.
Handle day-to-day client concerns, providing timely and efficient resolutions.
Manage communication channels (calls, emails, CRM) and provide regular client updates.
Assist in financial queries, service charges, and invoice processing.
Schedule and attend meetings, supporting the Senior Property Manager.
Maintain accurate records, key documents, and up-to-date contact details.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Assist with building insurance claims, contract terminations, and other administrative duties.
What We're Looking For
Relevant experience in property management, maintenance coordination, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of property maintenance procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and property management software.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R25,000 pm negotiable, depending on experience.
Contract: Permanent, remote role.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 SAST.
Additional Requirements
Location: Must be based in the Western Cape for occasional office visits in Stellenbosch.
Internet Access: A stable and reliable connection, including during load-shedding.
Assessment Process: A skills-based trial assessment will be required.
