Duties and responsibilities:
Provide administrative and logistical support to staff in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences
Type test and examination papers for undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
Arrange and monitor the process of internal and external moderation of test and examination papers.
Coordinate marking logistics for integrated medical sciences assessments.
Maintain academic records in accordance with Faculty and HPCSA accreditation guidelines.
Capture and submit student marks, performing cross-checks and validations to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Manage office communication with internal and external stakeholders
Receive and respond to general queries from staff and students within the department.
Redirect specialised queries to the appropriate departmental or academic personnel, as necessary.
Record all new assets and update departmental inventory systems.
Serve as a primary contact for public inquiries regarding whole-body donations to the Department of Basic Medical Sciences.
Ensure timely follow-up and referral of donation-related queries to the workshop manager.
Inherent requirements:
Grade 12 or national vocational certificate on NQF Level 4.
Relevant experience in the Higher Education environment.
Recommendations:
A post-school qualification in Office Administration or closely related field.
Minimum of one (1) years relevant experience relating to the duties and responsibilities.
Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Valid drivers license (attach a copy).

Salary:
The annual remuneration package, including benefits is R231 699.90 R388 426.59 per annum, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.
