Assistant Logistics Manager - KurumansJob SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our client as an Assistant Logistics Manager in the mining industry. The Assistant Logistics Manager will assist the General Manager of Logistics in overseeing the transportation and storage of materials and supplies for our mining operations.Responsibilities:Handle day-to-day operations of bulk and container shipments.Settle payments to service providers, including ocean freight, inland transport, inspection fees, and warehousing costs, following the GM's instructions.Input and maintain shipment records in the company's commodities database.Participate in planning and executing the shipping schedule according to production, purchase, and sales schedules.Monitor and control inventory for various commodities and locations.Coordinate with inspection companies to arrange weight and quality survey inspections.Liaise with agents and stevedores for cargo loading/unloading and handling operations.Perform laytime calculations and settle dispatch, demurrage, detention, port storage, and claims for bulk and container shipments.Investigate claims and propose preventive actions.Check cargo condition, supervise cargo handling during loading or discharging, and collaborate with ports, warehouses, agents, and surveyors.Undertake business trips and manage ad-hoc assignments as directed by the GM or companyQualifications: Degree or Diploma in Logistics or related fieldValid driver's licenseMedically fitExcellent analytical and numerical skillsStrong administration skills and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal, leadership, motivation, and planning skills.Good verbal and written communication skillsStrong Computer literate, especially with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPointTo work under pressure and high work ethic are key requirements Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Apply for this role today, contact Thomas Stacey, Rebecca Grylls or Mine Roux on LinkedinYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: logistics@hireresolve.za.com We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
