Job Summary Exclusive luxury Safari Lodge - maximum 22 guests ProStaffSelect are in search of an ASSISTANT LODGE MANAGER / DUTY MANAGER who is skilled and experienced in all essential areas of luxury lodge operations including: Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS x Oversee daily operations of the lodge, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning x Assess, review and coordinate all lodge reservations and bookings x Supervise and manage concierge services and coordinate special guest requests x Welcome and check-in guests, ensuring a warm and personalized experience x Implement and maintain standard operating procedures x Oversee inventory management and procurement processes x Ensure the lodge & all guest villas are neat, well-maintained, clean & ready for occupancy x Support and oversee food & beverage service along with kitchen production x Create & supervise a culture of exceptional fine dining that embodies excellence x Conduct & oversee consistent on-the-job training in food & beverage operations x Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development x Manage staff in terms of discipline and practices that support excellence along with all SOP's x Ensure ongoing coordination with maintenance teams for regular upkeep and repair of facilities x Analyse & assist with the implementation of sustainability and eco-friendly practices x Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with 5-star standards in all departments x Collect and analyse guest feedback to improve services and facilities x Foster a positive and motivated work environment among the staff x Oversee inventory management and procurement processes x Build and maintain strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat business x Implement innovative ideas to enhance guest experiences and lodge offerings x Participate in internal and local community sustainability projects and initiatives x Handle guest complaints and resolve issues as needed x Maintain operation focus on service excellence and ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction REQUIREMENTS x Min 3-4 years' work experience & management within a leading 5* boutique hotel / luxury lodge x Strong admin and organizational skills with strengths in Front Office, Housekeeping and F&B x Good understanding and experience of HR practices including basic labour law & disciplinary procedures x Exceptional Food & Fine Dining Culinary experience as well as Signature Wine & Beverage experience x Five-star hotel standards of service are essential with a true passion for service and the hospitality industry x Awareness and knowledge of special dietary needs and allergies x Highly proficient in a range of Computer Skills including Point-of-Sale and Back of House Systems x Thorough understanding of Housekeeping and Maintenance Procedures x Fully proficient in daily front office administration, concierge and reception duties x Fully attentive to luxury service standards with acute attention to detail and personalized service
