Job Summary Assistant Lodge Manager / Duty Manager - Luxury Safari Camp, Hoedspruit Salary: R15,000 - R20,000 Negotiable DOE | Live-in Position Overview Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Assistant Lodge Manager / Duty Manager for a luxury safari camp in Hoedspruit. The successful candidate will support the Lodge Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high operational standards across the camp. Responsibilities o Oversee day-to-day operations during assigned shifts and manage staff across departments o Support the Lodge Manager in operational planning and execution o Ensure high levels of guest service and handle guest feedback professionally o Supervise housekeeping, food & beverage, and front-of-house teams during duty periods o Maintain health, safety, and compliance standards across the camp o Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management o Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment o Handle administrative duties, including reporting and shift documentation o Act as the camp's point of contact in the Lodge Manager's absence Requirements o Previous experience in lodge or safari camp management, preferably within a luxury environment o Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills o Proven ability to manage teams and maintain high service standards o Knowledge of operational processes across housekeeping, F&B, and guest services o Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently o High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail o Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and on-call shifts as required
