Lead, guide, and motivate the Housekeeping Team to follow the hotel's standards.
Support clear communication within the team and with other departments.
Prepare weekly work schedules and assign tasks based on business needs.
Check daily staffing levels to ensure the department is properly staffed.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to make sure they are clean, well-maintained, and in good condition.
Work with management to maintain stock levels of chemicals, amenities, linen, and other supplies.
Monitor and control inventory, including equipment, uniforms, guest supplies, stationery, and cleaning materials.
Ensure all departmental training records are updated and accurate.
Identify ways to reduce waste and save costs while maintaining high-quality service.
Implement and monitor a key control system to ensure the safety of guests, staff, equipment, and supplies.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Proven leadership experience
Strong training and coaching abilities
Experience with staff rostering and scheduling
Diploma in Hospitality
Valid driver's licence
High physical endurance
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within a 5-star luxury property
Good understanding of cost control and inventory management
Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and nearby areas
