Our client, a remote luxury safari lodge located in a remote region of Limpopo South Africa, is recruiting an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager team in delivering exceptional operational standards and world-class guest experiences. This role is suited to a calm, highly organised hospitality professional with strong administrative and people management skills, who thrives in a remote lodge environment.
Description
The Assistant General Manager will play a key support role across lodge operations, administration and guest experience. Working closely with the General Manager, you will assist in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth departmental coordination and maintaining consistently high service standards.
This position requires a hands-on, detail-driven approach with a strong emphasis on administration, reporting, staff management and guest interaction. You will support scheduling, stock control, systems compliance and internal communication, while also being highly visible and confident in guest-facing situations.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, solutions-focused and highly organised, with the ability to step in operationally when required. Experience in remote safari lodges or isolated luxury hospitality environments is essential, as is an understanding of the unique challenges and expectations of high-end destination properties.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lodge professional ready to take the next step in management, working within a close-knit leadership team in a highly personalised guest environment. A market-related salary in the region of R25 000 - R30 000 per month is anticipated, depending on experience.
