Our client, a luxury boutique hotel on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, is seeking a hands-on Assistant General Manager to support overall operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive team performance. This full-time role offers a salary of R25,000 - R28,000 per month with excellent growth potential.
Description
The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring service excellence, smooth administration, and compliance with brand standards.
Key responsibilities will include staff management, guest relations, financial oversight, and operational support in food & beverage, front office, and housekeeping.
You will play a critical role in problem-solving, motivating staff, and stepping into departmental duties when required. The Assistant GM will also contribute to staff training, managing rosters, monitoring budgets, and maintaining operational efficiency. Guest satisfaction will be at the heart of your role, requiring proactive communication, a keen eye for detail, and a hands-on management style.
This role is suited to a hospitality professional with previous managerial experience in a luxury hotel or boutique property, ready to take the next step in their career.
Compensation:

• Salary: R25,000 - R28,000 per month

Minimum Requirements

• 3-5 years' management experience in luxury hotels, lodges, or boutique hospitality
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Proven financial and operational management experience
• Hands-on approach with the ability to multitask under pressure
• Guest-focused, solutions-driven, and professional
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
