The Opportunity:
A respected organisation is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to support and strengthen their finance function within a manufacturing / retail-focused environment. This role is ideal for a qualified finance professional who enjoys being hands-on with the general ledger, trial balance, and month-end processes, while also leading and managing a sizeable finance team. Youll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, clean audits, and reliable reporting acting as a vital link between operational finance and management insight.
Your Impact:
- Oversee full general ledger processing through to trial balance
- Drive month-end and audit preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage debtors and creditors processing, maintaining strong controls
- Support financial reporting and reconciliations across core accounts
- Lead, manage, and develop a finance team of 810 direct reports
- Improve workflows, controls, and efficiencies across finance processes
- BCom degree (essential)
- SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA qualification (preferred)
- 35 years experience within a finance / accounting environment
- Exposure to manufacturing or retail environments is advantageous
